I've been thinking of something similar too! I wanted to have a better graphical representation for a lot of things, ranging from the skill pages to various diary pages. The current set up is pretty bare-bones. It might be several releases before I really settle on the format for this, but I am definitely considering it!
I'm hoping to have the next big update released by the end of next week. It's pretty much done already, I'm just play testing it and polishing some of the text to correctly fit into all the text boxes.
Hello, I try to complete all the tasks without having to work in a brothel (I also check if it is possible to complete everything with maximum morality) and so far I have been successful, for which I am very grateful to this game. But I'm stuck on the task of getting some "cute sandals" for Saffron. Can someone tell me how to find them and can this task be done without working in a brothel?
The Cute Sandals are in a little red box on a shelf in the locked room of the Brothel's second floor (Bottom Left Room). You don't need to work in the Brothel to get it. There are two ways of going about it. You can either Pick the Lock on the door and take them out of the box. Or you can use the Vines outside to Climb in through the Window into that room, then Climb out through the same Window once you got them. Neither of the approaches have any negative repercussions, it just depends on whether you have a Skill for Climbing or Lockpicking. If you have neither skill then you will need to get the skills for it first. There is a Quest in the Goblin Tower that awards Athletics which has the Climb specialisation. And Guile can be purchased of the Skill merchant on the second floor of the Brothel on the Weekends, Guile has the Lockpicking specialisation.
I'm making some of them, a lot of the pixel art assets are the defaults from various RPG Makers though some are heavily edited. I also make a lot of my own stuff.
The Image assets I mostly do myself, there are a few default transition screen images though.
In regard to sound, the older rpg maker engine were pretty limited in that regard so when I was making it I just set all sounds to max for consistency. I don't think I can do much in regard to letting the player toggle it unfortunately but I'll dig around to see if there are any 3rd party scripts for it. I just usually change the sound in the sound mixer myself.
In regard to the construction bundles. You can make them at the construction bench. You can either get one from the Goblin that "looted" your house at the start of the game with a Persuasion check or buy one from the General Merchant when it is in stock, or get one randomly from a chest.
ages ago? its only been four months. and even games that update often and have decent sized teams working on them only update maybe every 3 months. think your jumping the gun here
There are some progress updates on the Patreon too, I just usually use Itch.io to post actual releases. I was hoping to release end of last month but I ended up expanding the scope of the update a bit too much to include a more detailed map than I originally envisioned. The project is certainly not abandoned :)
its good to see people take an interest in your game and work. I too am excited to see the new update and play it and give feed back, that is if you wont mind.
I hope you've managed to figure out how to go about the fight mechanics and balancing, where in the player can have a 4 man team vs maybe even 8 to 10 enemies at max, have you checked out The Last Sovereign?
as for the quality of life, I agree with others about the farming, where you cant walk over planted crops, but I know you're already working on that. I have also found a few comment threads where people who play your game want an "ALPHA" mechanic, meaning if you beat enough monster girls, you become alpha-male and just have monster girls fall head over heels for you and fuck you instead of trying to beat and rape you - in short, being dominant rather than a submissive.
about skills, I know majority of this section is still under development, but might I throw an idea? in the Acrobatics Skill Tab + Arms, would it be possible a level 5 Arms would allow the player to equip/wield 2 two-handed weapons? just a thought.
To be honest I haven't had any time to address the combat at all yet, I have been completely bogged down with the graphical aspect for this new update.
I have been mulling over how to address the possible male dominant scenes. Some people have proposed the idea of a "Dom Trait" similar to how there is a Submissive one. For some enemies like the Werewolf it would be possible and is planned but would likely not work for other types like Slimes due to how their body causes paralysis and lust. So for some I think I will add more male dom scenes on player defeating them but it probably wont be for all of them though.
You can already wield 2 handed weapons... or do you mean dual wield 2 handed weapons due to such high proficiency? Though in general I have some problems with the equipment setup and it currently doesn't work exactly how I want it too, so I would probably need to look deeper into it when I get a bit more proficient with Ruby Script.
Yes, that is exactly what I mean, duel wielding 2 handed weapons. like two Typhon Spears. I have mentioned before a bug about being able to equip Copper Scepter and Typhon Spear at the same time. I hope you consider it.
In the future, I hope you will have the time and resources to tackle the fight mechanics.
I would consider it if I can figure out a better equipment system! Though I think there would also be a Strength requirement for such ability with larger weapons too!
well it come from a good idea, but god it so hard, you can barely do anything each day since each action take you almost 1/10 of your life, you earn almost nothing each day, and if you pick the wrong job at start (miner for gemstone and artificer) you can say goodbye to your fun, in addition of to stay with the beginning: if you want to have some chance in fight and have good starting stats you should forget your jobs and so income, in my opinion it would be better to do in fact 2 poll of points, one for stats, and a other for jobs.
Plus some items that are really important for some jobs (seeds and salt for massed potatoes for example) only come one every full moon, can't you do a shop keeper that have some basic things always like a convenience store at less for these things and a other for furniture that change everyday through raids and that have more with the licking of peoples/number of kids you made?
well hopping that this game would became a little more playable on future update
You can make a significant amount of money at the start by just picking up junk from the forest floor, this action doesn't cost anything and you can easily make 5-10 silver per in game day on top of any chests you open or nodes you gather.
The game is still pretty early in development so not all the vendors have been introduced yet as I wished to split them based on region specialities. Some vendors like the Hunter and the Blacksmith have been added recently to cover some of these static stock pools and an Alchemy one will be added next update!
thank for your answer, nice to see a active dev read it's comment
for the junk please tell me where to go and what worth the most, i lucky found one time a thunder shard but most junk worth 1 to 5 copper and I've found like 10, 15 at most, and i seek everywhere on the hidden path I've found on emerald forest and the 1st map of garnet wealth and if i can have at most 1 silver I'm happy, but mashed potato and potatoes worth so much more in my opinion in addition to give you energies a lower cost
i don't fight anything btw, cause of how weak the character is ans how few he hit, bunny MVT for damage, he touch way much that us :'( sadness to be weaker than a bunny or a rat
for the farming it's sad that we can't walk over the plants, I've already be blocked this way and this isn't really clear a the start where the seedable area is, like most path in fact, i don't denied that the maps are beautiful but the trees leaves hide so much, i hope you will found a way to make them see-through when we found a path and we are in allowing us to see where we go
but overall there is a lots of potential, i can't wait to see the next update
hopping i wasn't to hard, I'm kind of harsh when I talk
The junk items that are worth the most are found in Garnet Weald and Amber Wilds, they are generally Truffles and Gems that can be found in the river or on the sand. In Amber Wilds you can also find coins on the sand too, even Silver ones sometimes. Thunder Shards are quite rare, they are used to make lighting furniture and are formed when a lightning strikes the road during rainy weather.
The Bunny character is there mostly to divert hits away from you or to act as decoy and lead enemies away when attacked by enemies at night. Damage scales quite significantly with the Strength stat so if yours is low you wont be able to deal any. There is no sexual content locked behind battles though as all the sex scenes only happen when you lose to monster girls (for now).
I do plan to let you walk over the planted stuff on your farm, it is on my to do list! Though I am not sure I can make the Trees seethrough. I Also plan to make the seedable area more visible in the future, though at the moment I haven't quite decided on the best way to approach that issue yet.
Thank you for your comment, and your tone was not harsh at all :)
ok, i was afraid to go to much over these place cause of the monster that are way harder then the mines rats and bees, and cause i only found these place not a long ago, so i didn't have the luck to found these loots, maybe you could put some fencing and tilled land, in my opinion it's the most logical choice
maybe you can start to clean the road borders mainly when we walk horizontally and make special area for secret passage, that way i think it would be cleaner and made us have a better for seen of what can append to us, good or bad
my main problem thou is still the cost of every action, that is at the beginning way to much mainly on HP, maybe you could rebalance this or when we have better tools/competence it goes lower or based of how difficult it is, chopping wood and mining harder than foraging or pick up potatoes
lopipati, I am guessing you are only on your 1st play through. your main concern is already balanced by the leveling of Skills. for example at level 1 Mining, each mineral node (Stone, Salt, Crystal, Iron, Cooper, and Sulfur) can be mined with a pick-axe (you dont have to have it equipped, just have it in your inventory) with a minus 10 VP per node mined, but when you level your Mining Skill, it will deduct 1 to VP consumed per mining action.
so Level 1 Mining Skill = 10 VP per mining action or Mineral Node
Level 2 Mining = 9 VP per mining action and so on, currently, Skill Level caps at Level 5
so a Level 5 Mining Skill = 6 VP per mining action or Mineral Node
Yeah, I have been thinking of just a basic fence for now, it would make it harder to walk there in general due to plants blocking movement, but once I get that fixed a fence will probably be the way I go about it for now.
Also, during daytime, enemies don't attack you unless you walk into them...at least ones that exist in game right now... the only exception is the Terror Bird but that thing lives in an arena of it';s own and it takes effort to get to in the first place.
With the latest map I'm working on, I'm trying to focus on more open space so the player can see the area around them better, so hopefully I'll improve on it from now on. In the far future I might find a way to fade out trees when you walk behind them, but at the moment the only way I know how to do that would require an astronomical amount of work.
The cost of performing actions actually does decrease when you increase your skill level and as you progress you can also increase your VP/WP pools so it feels even less taxing later on. Some players mentioned that they have set up a cooking/farming routine in such a way that they never have to sleep at all as the end product they produce replenishes them fully and has resources left over.
@lolipati Skill Books also give you a chance to increase your VP in exchange for Craft EXP, by leveling Miner Vitality, each level increases VP by 1. Check out previous posts in this section to find my previous posts in my stats.
As you can see in this screenshot, I have maxed my Mining Skill to 5, allowing me to max the tech-tree for the Mining Skill as well. I assure you, with someone over 100+ hours of gameplay, it gets much much easier, to a point that I have more Craft EXP than I need. see I have 5122 EXP while I have maxed my Mining, and Agriculture Skills, even in Minion Mode.
Although, I agree with you that FeyRing should work out more quality of life updates for the game. Please continue to support him, for him to be able to do so.
Probably in a month or so. I'm planning to release a whole new heroine so the amount of work required is quite a bit more than for the previous updates. Glad you like the game!
I am goin to real with you and I want to give my full opinion to at the very least give you something to think about if you haven't already. I just started playing the game and one the things I noticed is I cant interact with the mouse and the second thing I had a problem with is there is no backspace for when you name your character or at least I didn't find one. I went through my entire keyboard to find the button, which is x for those who don't know. I am going to play through the game and each time I have any input on it I will update this comment.
Edit: the gold counter at the bottom part of the screen should be made to match the esc menu money counter. If there is a way to figure out the effects of diseases and sicknesses anyone tell me thank you.
This is an RPG Maker game, they seldom have mouse interactions unless they were made in the MV version, which this game wasn't. Due to the fact that the game employs a hotbar script, it is very unlikely that it will ever have mouse support as the two scripts will conflict.
The [X] key plays the same roll as the [ESC] key, I will update this in the opening controls tutorial. But yeah, the [ESC] key would have worked for deleting letters as well... though [X} is generally the default in RPG Maker games.
The Gold Counter is a work in progress at the moment, it's a default that came with the 3rd party script, I plan to change it's appearance and display when I tackle the UI again.
At the moment there is no descriptor for the status effects. I'll try to add one in the near future.
Thank you for addressing all of my comments. I have question though for the game I cant seem to find a merchant to break the curse all I keep on finding is the hunter. That is not to say I am only looking in that area I have traveled the game map at least two dozen times looking for a travel who fits the description or a merchant who sells the scroll and I am stuck. any advice from the creator would be helpful.
The Priest, unlike the Hunter, is not static, he belongs to a pool of random Human traveler NPCs that have a chance to spawn on each of the maps (where hostile enemies are present). These NPCs usually spawn along the roads, though they can occasionally walk behind trees or other foliage which gets them obscured temporarily. Each of the maps has about a 30% chance of spawning one NPC per day, so revisiting the map multiple times in the same day wont help in spawning them. During the quest to lift the Curse, the chance of the Priest or Student NPC spawning is massively increased over all the other NPCs in that pool, however it may still take a day or two in game to find him. NPCs have a lower chance of spawning during Rain and they wont spawn at all at Night. They also despawn if you leave the map or reload the game.
Thank you for responding, but when I said a dozen times I mean a dozen days and have walked to each of the maps that I know of at least once that day and the only person I could find is the hunter I will try to take more time with each of the maps to make sure I am not running buy them. Edit: I found a scroll in the forest from a priest.
It requires a higher level of Construction skill or it can also rarely drop from chests. In general, it's not worth giving her a comfy bed as it only raises her affection a bit higher than giving her a normal bed. So I suggest just giving her a normal bed which you can buy from the Goblin merchant sometimes.
Athletics skill is rewarded for completing the Honey Gathering quest in the Goblin Tower building. There is an NPC on the second floor that gives you a quest to bring her 10 Honey. Honey can rarely drop from Hornets or it can be purchased from the Goblin Merchant sometimes. Alternatively, opening chests has a small chance to drop any of the Manuals that award skills once read. You can also learn the Athletics skill from the Fighter NPC if you enslave him and give him as a slave to one of the Goblin Households.
hey FeyRing, I was wondering, could you show the stats of the Silver Sword and Rings that could be pick-pocketed from Victor and Saffron? hehe. just to see if its worth another play-through.
I'm stuck on saffron right now, because I finished a couple of tasks for her, but now every time I ask about work, the game tells me I need to raise my affection with her, and I'm not sure how to do that.
you need to gift Her things, like precious stones (Garnet, Onyx Opal, etc.) flowers, or even leather and pelts. if you select an item that is gift-able (Gift tab in Items Menu) and talk to Saffron, the game will give you an option to gift the item or not.
some items will give more Affection points than others.
You can use the cheat sheet to gain exp indirectly as well. You just use the money to buy multiple copies of Skill manuals on Saturday in the Brothel on the 2nd floor. Consuming a skill book you already know gives exp instead. So you can get any amount of exp this way as well (except Sex Exp).
I might expand the Cheat Sheet in the future, but at the moment I think it covers pretty much everything except maybe gaining any item you choose, but that sort of thing would be kind of hard to implement.
I like the potential of the game and what is there so far. It's like a lewd PS1 game :D I hope you are able to eventually finish this game as it'd be a shame not too :)
anywho, I decided for the heck of it to acquire all available equipment in the game. hunting NPCs is... hard. anyway, I found a bug and a typo.
as marked in RED...
I know that the Typhon Spear is two handed, this only happens if you have both the copper scepter and Typhon in your inventory and choose "Optimize" in the equipment section. it doesnt happen with any other weapon/shield.
almost tempted not to report this bug, since the Typhon has +1 STR and Scepter +1 INT. hahaha. cheers and more power to you.
Hey! Thanks for the typo report, I'll have it fixed by the next release!
The bug with some two handed weapons not working as intended is something I'm aware of but I'm not sure how to fix yet. For now I was hoping that no one would notice!
I'll try to address it at some point when I get a bit better at Ruby Script.
It might might be hard to get EVERY item in the game as there was a unique silver sword that dropped from Victor (the guard that accompanied Furo at the start of the game) and Victor leaves if not conversed with the first time you appear in Emerald Forest. Plus he only has a 5% chance to drop it and can only be fought once. Plus, Edgy Knuckles and Gaudy Ring are mutually exclusive with Snuffles at the start of the game. You can also Pickpocket a unique accessory from Saffron but she only has a 5% chance of getting it stolen. Victor also had a rare ring you could steal from him if you managed to convince him to stick around at the start of the game.
Hey FeyRing, on my latest play through, I got struck by lightning because I was hunting for Lightning Crystals which I would use to craft Iron Lamps. and it gave me a Thunder God LvL 1 trait. man, your game has some nice hidden mechanics.
I also tried catching different NPCs and enslaving them to Goblin Households. I tried catching a priest, and the priest dropped "Priest Cross" Accessory. now Im wondering what other equipment are available to loot when defeating NPCs.
P.S. on your Patreon Page, you have a +1 Character Creation Point, is that a memory point?
Hey! Glad you liked the Thunder God Trait. I plan to have a whole evolution path for that, where you can slowly gain thunder related powers from it. Lvl 1 is as high as it gets at the moment so no need to get struck again (for now).
ALL NPCs have a chance to drop a special equip-able item, the chance is pretty small though! Werewolves and Werebats also have accessories they can drop and the Terror Bird Boss has a pretty decent weapon drop too!
Yes, the +1 Character Creation point is indeed a Memory Point, I listed it like that so it would be easier to understand for someone who hasn't tried the game yet and doesn't know what a Memory Point is.
I already have the Werebat and Werewolf Bangles, Slime Core from the Slime Girl, the Priests Cross from the Priest. Now Im trying to farm accessories from NPCs. I already got the Typhoon Spear from the Terror Bird Boss.
even the pets have nice accessories, particularly the Snail and Slime pet. though I feel bad taking their equipment away from them, I will return them as soon as I acquire better equipment.
Im looking forward to the other monster girls you have planned for your game.
since the MC is human, will there be a human village? the Goblins did also mention that they would sometimes raid Human lands. and the Human word is colored blue. so I guess thats a give away.
p.s. I hope you're safe from the virus. where Im from, things are getting serious. your game is all that I play, grinding for EXP during quarantine hours.
There will be a Human Village, though it is probably a long ways away. I might have a Human Fort you can conquer some time this year I hope.
I am spending my quarantine getting more content done for the game! Hope you stay safe too, glad my game helped you in some way during these difficult times!
hey FeyRing, is there any chance in the future that the save files of the older versions of your game will not load or cant be loaded by newer versions?
While it is theoretically possible if some really big changes happen to the game system, it is highly unlikely to happen any time soon. And even if such changes are added much further down the line, you will still be able to load your saves, just some things might not work correctly in them.
In any case, very unlikely to happen in the near future (if ever)!
it just came to me while grinding for EXP. anyway, not that I would mind, I would love to go through another play through if there were any major changes in the game. I know you mentioned that at this early stage of the game, story or plot is not the focus yet. but will there come a time that you'd shift your focus to expanding the storytelling and plot lines?
p.s. does LUCK stat increase the chances of rare loot drops of mobs? I seem to have difficulty looting honeys from hornets, but I managed to loot 3 Slime cores, and 2 Typhoon spears, or is by pure chance?
I plan to get back into the main story progression after the next update hopefully! The next update itself will sort of be plot related too, though it will be more optional than the actual main plot line.
Slime Cores and Typhoon Spears have a massively smaller chance to drop compared to Honey. Honey is 12.5% chance, a Typhoon Spear is 5% and I don't recall the Slime Cores drop chance of the top of my head but it should be around 5% too.
These percentages are not affected by Luck stat, though in the future I might redo how the Monster Loot is calculated to include Luck in the calculation.
I couldn't replicate this error, my skill manual opened just fine.
Does this always happen with that manual? Can you try some other manual? Because there is a slim possibility your game might have corrupted somehow, it happens rarely when unpacking the game for some reason.
And I mean your game and not your save file, the save file should be fine.
unfortunately i didn't save the game after i found the priest, donated the gold and read the book. i'll have to re-find him again. i'll let you know once i do though. game works fine and the save is not lost, yes.
That`s a quite intersting game. I have a question, how can I get the botanic skill? I will to grow something. But it requires at least botanic level1. And I didn`t find any goblin girl can teach me this skill.
there is an NPC inside the brothel - the large building north of the Goblin Village, everyday saturday evening (20:00 game time), she spawns at the 2nd floor and sells "SKILL BOOKS", you're looking for the Agriculture 101 Skill Book - costs 5 Silver or 500 Coins, once you "consume" or use the skill book, you will have access to it inside your SKILL tab, select the Agriculture skill, then with enough CRAFT EXP ( 100 CRAFT EXP) for level 1 Botany. then all you need is a shovel to plant in your FARM.
That`s quite a lot of money. Ist there any way to make more money quick except sell myself. I can now only make some money by do laundry. And I can`t even win a rat. Guess bard is more suitable to sleep his way out. By the way how can I meet the prisoner`s bodyguard?
Opening chests and collection random junk of the forest floor is generally the faster way of earning money. Stuff like Truffles and various Gems sell for decent amount of money. And yes, the Bard class is mostly for social interactions and doesn't have any combat capabilities, but then mobs don't really drop much in terms of expensive loot, so farming them isn't very efficient money wise anyway.
The prisoner's bodyguard could only be met if you had the Climbing spec from the Athletics Skill at the very start of the game. You had to climb up some vines near the camp before leaving the map, otherwise the guard runs off after you leave the map. Don't worry about him though, he wasn't really important or anything.
oh, really? I just thought the daughter would be there during the evening, I think one of the Goblins said, I think the madam in the brothel.... anyway. and 20 Silver, my bad. I thought it was just 5. silly me.
by the way, how do I get lightning crystals? are they purely by chance during a lightning storm? I've found one, once. it was on the ground. maybe a lightning strike hitting something?
gonna try the new version soon once the download finishes. quarantines here in brazil will go on effect tomorrow probably and we already reached 2k cases. well this will be a good self-quarantine it seems.
may i ask what else is new besides these quality of life stuff put in the game?
edit: im loving the new map, as well as the soundtrack. it looks gorgeous. wish i could freeze time so i could explore it non stop for a long time tho.
oh yeah i did take a read. the cheats were helpful a bit. helped me recover some of the stuff i lost in my alpha 13 save. i hope they dont give me any consequences in the future for skipping some grind. lol
I don't really plan to add any consequences for using cheats, aside from a little message inside the cheat sheet itself notifying you that you used them before.
I might make a spell at some point that will allow you to freeze time. it will be a very high level one though!
maybe if they were diminishing stacks, for example; equipping four accessories that give +25% resistance to fire element, diminishes the bonuses to % 25/18/11/4 giving a total of 58% resistance. speaking of balance, is there going to be curative spells? are the water spells the "cure magic"?
and I feel like Im cheating here, but what is the mechanic for the gluttony score? is it
To be honest I will most likely have them just add normally, like 5% + 5% gives 10%, it will probably be easier to balance in the end.
There are curative spells in game. There is White Magic that can be learned from a traveling Priest NPC, you have to donate 1 whole Gold (10000 CopperCoins) in one go to him though. He will then give you a Skill Manual that teaches White Magic.
There was also a pet, a Snowman that had a scarf head accessory that allowed casting a restorative spell, but that was only available during the Winter event.
Water spells will likely be combined in the future with Ice Magic rather than having a category of their own.
Glutton Mechanic is a bit more complicated than that. Eating a food identical to your last meal has a 10% chance to increase your Gluttony score by 1. Eating an Unhealthy food decreases your Health Score (not Gluttony Score) by 10/20/30, similarly, eating a Healthy food increases your Health Score by 10/20/30. If your Health Score (which starts at 0) reaches 100, your Gluttony Score gets decreased by 1 point. If your Health value decreases to -100, your Gluttony score increases by 1 point. Once your Gluttony Score reaches 100 you will get the Glutton Flaw.
It still has a 10% chance to raise it, but statistically speaking, you will probably cancel it out with the effect of healthy food. I might rework the whole system at some point though, as it is not set in stone yet.
Hello, I know you get this all the time but thanks for the great game. Been playing for hours now. Good and immersive game mechanics. been through a dozen play through just for understanding the game mechanics. on my current play through, I acquired a flaw trait "gluttony" is there any chance to "un-flaw"? cause I made the mistake of spamming grapes for VP. I've read somewhere in this thread that you can "decrease" gluttony by eating healthy foods, and I've been spamming linseed oil. but to no avail.
Hi! Glad you like the game. Unfortunately you can't get rid of most of the flaws (yet). Healthy food is supposed to offset an invisible score that rises when you eat the same food over and over again or when you eat unhealthy food. So in your case it is too late to eat healthy food as you already got the Gluttony flaw.
In the future there will be ways to get rid of it, I just haven't thought of any "fair" system to remove them yet.
thank you for the reply. I figured as much. I wont be making the same mistake in my current play through... going in as a mage with toughness and noble background. do you have plans to integrate a party system of more than two characters? is there going to be a playable/party-able heroin? or just the pets? I've got Snuffles and Turbo the Celestial Snail, (also when I change between pets, i.e, Snail to Snuffles, I cannot summon the Snail back, is this a bug or is the mechanic not implemented yet in the game?) I wish we could have both pets in the party.
game is awesome, great mechanics and the grind is rewarding - not too easy, not too hard. and cheers for making the game free to play to the public - (coming from a pleb who cant be a patron) looking forward to the next update.
At the moment there are no plans to allow more than 2 characters in the party, both because the actor art will start to overlay the enemies on the screen too much and because it will require a lot more thought into balancing encounters. This stance may change in the future though!
I am not sure if I will allow Heroines to join your party but there are plans to let some of your kids join as minions instead.
The Snail just returns to your home when you dismiss him. You can find him loitering around outside your house in Emerald Falls. He is kind of selfish, so you will need to give him another Cabbage in order for him to join your party again.
Glad you're enjoying the game! Next update will have a new romanceable Heroine with her own quest line (at least if everything goes according to plan).
oh. okay, Im sure you will figure something out and Im sure it will be good. uhm... if you would accept my humble suggestion, regarding the battle/encounter interface, there is this game "The Last Sovereign" by Sierra Lee, take a look at the design of the battle/encounter interface of the game, and maybe you can do something similar.
would each species of the MC's offspring have different stats? how do you plan to execute the different stats of different species of offspring?
oh, so I need to buy more cabbages and discard all my salt again. by the way, do you plan on putting a storage unit for the MC's items - it will be a bummer if I have to discard all my salt every time I party up with Turbo? Im sure you also plan on making a mechanic that would sort the items and loots via alphabetical, quantity, or even in terms of item tiers.
That game has been on my "to play" list for a while so I will take a look!
Stats are not hard to define for the offspring and they might depend on the stats you yourself have, so sort of like inheriting a portion of the stats. It's pretty early in the concept stage for those sorts of minions so I haven't really made too many defined decisions on them yet.
You don't need to discard your Salt when recruiting him from around your house, it's just a gimmick for the initial recruitment process.
I don't really have any plans for player storage yet. I'm not even sure if it would be possible to implement. As for Item sorting, it... is unlikely at the moment, I am not really good with Ruby Script and have so far been mostly using third party scripts. I managed to do a category type sorting for now and I do plan to take another look into possible other types of sorting but from my prior forage into the issue it didn't seem like it's something that can be done that easily in this engine.
Hello, first of all, thanks for such a good game, some of the best I have ever played. I only have a question, there is only that method to download the game, because every time I download the new update it is a problem, the download is canceled and it says expired or prohibited I could not download the new version I came 1 week trying and more than 300 mg arrives and it is canceled or prohibited open some solution until I tried to download from another browser and it is the same
I have heard some people were having similar trouble. I'm not actually sure what the problem is, but most likely it's something on itch.io side of things. I will probably have to look into an alternative download location some time soon.
Ok thank you very much for answering this comment you should do a survey about which cutters should or should 1 be available or as a second option I suggest mega.nz is safer and faster is not my opinion greetings good job
The chance mostly scales of your Entomology specialisation, although Stealth and Luck also play a part. If you gather during Night Time or while Invisible your chances increase significantly as well.
The exact calculation is Random Number 1-20, +1 per Luck, +1 Per Stealth, +2 per Entomology, +5 if Night Time, +10 if Invisible. If total number is above 20 then you succeed.
Sugar can drop from Cooking Satchels occasionally as well. Though, people have been asking for a more renewable source, so in the next update you will be able to grow Sugar Beets and turn those into Sugar!
Fertility Potions are not implemented yet, but once they do they will increase the chances of getting your sexual partner knocked up for the duration. I may even make a rarer version that adds a permanent bonus to impregnation chances.
awesome. i'm looking forward for the next version.
and imo i'd love to always knock up a girl after i have some fun with her. that's just me tho. there's prolly another one or two dude lurking that would love to have this boost too but eh.
also, would be cool if i could have sex with saffron during daytime as well. but i guess she's busy roaming around her house during the day lol
Understandable! I might make it possible to max out the chance through various traits/titles etc eventually.
She is pretty busy during the day, being the active chief (house roamer) and all that! Though she does have a chance to give you gifts during the day, there is a recipe you can get of her, the chance is pretty random though and you have to be married to her.
It would be great if you can change pages in the manual as you want and not only advance, sometimes you want to go back to a certain page and you need to finish al the other pages to open the manual again.
Is a great artistic work, the scenarios are beautiful, and even if the characters desing is not my style, it is a noticeable work (and snuffles is amazing).
I do not know if i am the only one, but i think it will be a good idea if there was a special tag for the mothers of your childreen since there is no way to differentiate them from the others more than the MiLF tag (Like a goblin virgin i impregnate and become a goblin MILF) at the point i had to remember the specific locations of each one (not pretty much anyway), maybe i am the only one concerning about this anyway, so can ignore it.
There are plans to let you expand the cultivation area in the future?
Is it posible to get all the skills from chest, or skills like mining and smithing that have someone who teach them are not in the pool?
I am not sure if it is possible to move pages backwards to be honest, but I'll see if there is some workaround for it.
In regard to NPC tags, some people have expressed an interest in this as well. Originally, each NPC was supposed represent a "population" of multiple individuals. However, since people seem to want each one to be a separate entity, I have started to look into a possible expansion of the NPC system where each one will also have a randomly generated name. This is mostly in the planning stages at the moment and there is no exact date for implementation yet as I'm working on the system quite slowly and on the side while developing the main content of the game.
The farming area in Emerald Falls is not going to get bigger, however, there are some plans to add a possible cave with mine-able nodes. There will also be other houses later on in other areas of the game which will have their own farm-able land plots.
The only Skill which you can't get from a chest is Mining... I think I just forgot to add it in, so I'll add it for the next release.
Uh... I don't know why, but all my saves just wiped. Themselves. o__o I had just done the spiderwebs and the rat quest again, and suddenly not only did it make an error noise when I tried to save, the files themselves got wiped.
So weird.... I restarted, and now there are orange trees, not apple ones? Is that just a chance thing?
EDIT: Oh wow, didn't even see there was a recent update. Shows what I go, for taking some time off for holidays. And it's something I'd been hoping for a while for, nice! I wonder if it's version collision that was the problem or something...
Apple and Orange Trees have a 50% Chance of Spawning as the main tree type of the forest the moment you leave the Demon Queen's bedroom. Once spawned, all fruit trees in both maps get locked into that type for the rest of the game, it adds a bit of a variety to play-throughs.
In regard to the save wipes. I encourage people to back them up outside of the game folder when updating to the new version just in case. What you report has happened to one other person and I have not been able to figure out why yet. Did you do anything with an Iron Lamp when this happened? Have you done any save editing of your save files before?
I had in fact placed an Iron Lamp on part of my farmspace--specifically the northern portion of the map, up the stairs. As for save editing, I don't know how--I saved to files one and three, if that matters. I didn't know that about the trees! I've only ever gotten apples before. Thank you so much for continuing to work on such an engaging little world.
Save editing is changing save files using a 3rd party software, I thought it might have something to do with it but I guess it didn't. Thank you for the info regarding the lamp, I'll play around with it and try to figure out what's happening there!
You can get apple and orange seeds from eating the fruit very rarely, and because both apples and oranges can be purchased from the vendor as well, it is actually possible to have both tree variants on your farm too!
I found the issue, for some reason if you had a Lamp turned ON and tried to save on a different map, then your save got deleted instead of saved. The only way to fix this is to turn off all lamps... and preferably pick them back up, after that the save function will work normally again.
I will have a more direct fix for this in the next release!
Hey, wanted to say that I'm really enjoying the game. I'm finding the progression very rewarding. If I can suggest a couple of quality of life options to consider (apologies in advance, I didn't dig though the comments to see if already answered):
Being able to push aside or phase through NPCs to avoid getting stuck in some situations.
A colorblind solution for the crafting progress bar. I have such a hard time telling the difference between the starting color (yellow?) and green. The first few times I cooked I sat there staring as the bar ticked full, not realizing it had already changed lol. Increasing the contrast between the colors would solve it, although I understand if that is a design choice to force you to pay close attention.
I don't think it will be possible to push the NPCs aside or phase through them, at least I don't know of any way to do it in RPG Maker so it would only happen to them and not walls/furniture, I'll look around but I doubt it's doable.
I think it should be possible to make the bars have a higher contrast, I didn't even realise it was an issue. Some people reported that they sat there waiting for the whole bar to fill up but it didn't click with me why that could be the case until now. I was just using the default colour setting. Are there any colours in particular that would be better? Or the actual contrast is more significant?
It didn't even click for me that this was RPG Maker...cheers to the art and visuals!
Using a deeper, more washed out red or slightly darker green would call attention to the change regardless of whether I can see the color. I just have to rely on some other type of contextual feedback.
Thanks for the response. Definitely looking forward to following this game!
If no one has replied to this, with the exception of those rare few that have no cones at all, most of us are caused by a vast majority of one type. Your best choices are avoiding colors with similar intensities in addition to color types, maybe light blue and dark red or ideally allow an option in the hotkey set up to flag type of colorblindness. Red-green gets blue and yellow bars, blue-yellow gets red and green and total gets really dark and really light grey-scale. I actually made it to lvl 2 smithing before I realized the failures weren't level based. The bigger issue I have is the difficulty acquiring some ingredients. In general, never make basic crafting tools and the most common secondary ingredients require rare drops/merchant spawns 2nd tier recipes or worse a chain of multiple tier 2 recipes. Specifically where's the sugar, to make ethanol, to make both dyes and varnish. I have only gotten 3 varnish and 1 ethanol, so the only source of wax for recipes I have atm is the merchant. Also either slow down or completely ditch the dance dance revolution mechanic in spellcasting. There are a few spots things can get trapped. There are a few spots along river banks and outside caves you can't stop onto to pick items up and they just stay there. Also, as pretty as it looks, the area around the rock by your house can trap you till your garden finishes growing. A path behind it, like the one at the opposite corner could fix it. Last bug I noticed, and I don't remember which skill, but one of the VP/WP skills scales like a standard 5lvlspec instead of the 25/50lvl one. This is intended to be constructive. I will post any other bugs and suggestions I find. The game has my interest, as it reminds me of legend of mana (I think) from 20ish years ago.
What version of the game are you running? I tried addressing the colours of the craft bars in the current <Winter> 0.1.4 release, so just wondering if you might be playing an older version of the game. If not, then I may need to take another look at the colours again.
In regard to sugar, I'm going to try to add it as a growable plant in the next release.
As of the <Winter> 0.1.4 release, Wax can be acquired from harvesting the Beehives in the forest.
In regard to the attack chain mechanic, most of the attacks only require the arrow key inputs and the same attack always uses the same combination in the same order every time, the speed is also significantly slower than most other games that use this mechanic. If I slowed it down any more the whole mechanic would become pointless.
In regard to items getting stuck on cliffs, and river banks, can you post a screenshot so I can see the exact locations that this happens on. Some of the cliffs can actually be climbed up to using the vines.
In regard to getting trapped by your own plants, I was assuming people wouldn't do that. I have been contemplating to set the first stage of growing plants to have pass-ability, so I may just add this in the next release too, so people would be able to walk through them.
In regard to skill scaling bug. I didn't quite get what you mean in your explanation. Do you mean when you use the skill or when you level it up, or?
Looking forward to your reply, and any future bugs and suggestions!
I am running the one from mid summer. I can't get to the hive without certain materials to build the bridge. And cool, I look forward to growing sugar. Have you decided on cane or beets yet?
Does it rain in your version or does it snow instead? If it rains then it's an older version, if it snows instead then it is the latest version where I tried addressing the colour bars in the crafting menu.
As for sugar, I might have both cane and beet eventually but for now it will likely be beets!
Your stats are probably low if you have only 1 or 2 in Strength you are unlikely to beat anything other than rats and wasps. You need to make accessories and armour until you have 4+ in Toughness and Strength, you also could get the Athletics skill which has Specs that boost damage and gain access to stronger combat moves.
There are various consumables potions and damaging explosives that can be crafted as well.
Alternatively if you have the Black Magic skill you need to have 4+ Intelligence to really deal good damage with spells or level up Sorcery for a damage boost.
Strength can be increased with Garnet Amulets, which are crafted with Lvl 2 Artifice, Armour is made with Smithing, Smithing is learned from a Goblin Smith in the Forge, you can use an Anvil in the corner of her room to make weapons and armour. Potions are crafted with Alchemy. All of these things can be found as random drops from chests which reset daily and are generated in random locations on each map.
You can also get two Bombs which do massive damage as a quest reward in the Mines for bringing some pickaxes to the Goblin near the exit.

Can you add a picture for Lapis's Diary page?
Maybe pics of characters in "My First Time" Diary would be nice too... Like for each page showing the one to take each of your virginities.
I've been thinking of something similar too! I wanted to have a better graphical representation for a lot of things, ranging from the skill pages to various diary pages. The current set up is pretty bare-bones. It might be several releases before I really settle on the format for this, but I am definitely considering it!
I can't wait for the next update.
It will still take a few days, but it will definitely release by the week's end.
ahhhhh.... alright, at least knowing that I won't have to check everyday...
will they be an update before 2021 or it's too much ?
ps:take you're time don't go overworking yourself!
I'm hoping to have the next big update released by the end of next week. It's pretty much done already, I'm just play testing it and polishing some of the text to correctly fit into all the text boxes.
damn you're fast!!
Desperately waiting...
Hello!
Thank you very much for answer.
Do you have a guide for this game?
No, I don't really have time to make one. There is a discord though with plenty of people who have answers!
Do you have the lin
The link is on the Patreon page, I think it is this one:

Are you making all your art assets from scratch? If so major respect to you.
I'm making some of them, a lot of the pixel art assets are the defaults from various RPG Makers though some are heavily edited. I also make a lot of my own stuff.
The Image assets I mostly do myself, there are a few default transition screen images though.
What you have done with the assets look really nice.
Thank you :)
hey um. i kinda wanna say but it would be nice if there was options for audio. the sound is quite loud and I'd love it if I could adjust the sound.
A question too while I'm at it. how do i get bundles? or are they not implimented
You can either get one from the Goblin that "looted" your house at the start of the game with a Persuasion check or buy one from the General Merchant when it is in stock, or get one randomly from a chest.
alright. thanks for the info!
Version 0.1.5 came out aaages ago. Abandoned project? What is the latest released patreon version?
ages ago? its only been four months. and even games that update often and have decent sized teams working on them only update maybe every 3 months. think your jumping the gun here
There are some progress updates on the Patreon too, I just usually use Itch.io to post actual releases. I was hoping to release end of last month but I ended up expanding the scope of the update a bit too much to include a more detailed map than I originally envisioned. The project is certainly not abandoned :)
Can you play as a female protagonist?
No, you play as male in this game.
hey FeyRing, how are you?
its good to see people take an interest in your game and work.
I have also found a few comment threads where people who play your game want an "ALPHA" mechanic, meaning if you beat enough monster girls, you become alpha-male and just have monster girls fall head over heels for you and fuck you instead of trying to beat and rape you - in short, being dominant rather than a submissive.
about skills, I know majority of this section is still under development, but might I throw an idea? in the Acrobatics Skill Tab + Arms, would it be possible a level 5 Arms would allow the player to equip/wield 2 two-handed weapons? just a thought.
more power to you FeyRing.
Hello! I am doing okay and hope you are as well!
Though I think there would also be a Strength requirement for such ability with larger weapons too!
but for now, there is no way of raising Strength, other than equipment. right? or is there?
Maxing out some Skills also gives a +1 to a specific stat, but that is not very viable as it requires a lot of skill leveling.
well it come from a good idea, but god it so hard, you can barely do anything each day since each action take you almost 1/10 of your life, you earn almost nothing each day, and if you pick the wrong job at start (miner for gemstone and artificer) you can say goodbye to your fun, in addition of to stay with the beginning: if you want to have some chance in fight and have good starting stats you should forget your jobs and so income, in my opinion it would be better to do in fact 2 poll of points, one for stats, and a other for jobs.
Where do you get an underwear i can't find any? they always ask for it in the brothel so i'm curious...
That feature was never fully implemented so you can't get it yet.
Oh alright then awesome game btw really looking forward for the next update!
ps: stay awesome man!!!!
Thanks! Glad you like it!
Any idea when the next update will come out im starting to love this game
Hello!
Hey can you tell me how I can get or make a comfy bed for Saffron because I have no clue.
It requires a higher level of Construction skill or it can also rarely drop from chests. In general, it's not worth giving her a comfy bed as it only raises her affection a bit higher than giving her a normal bed. So I suggest just giving her a normal bed which you can buy from the Goblin merchant sometimes.
Thank you for your help. I'm enjoying the game and looking forward for future updates.
Ive been seeing vines that you can climb but have no clue on where to get the athletes skill
Victor's Sword: +1 STR, +3%Crit, 250% Damage To Were Creatures.
Saffron's Bangle: +10% Max VP when worn.
When we get to the Werewolf caves it will be possible to craft a sword with similar stats, but that is still a few months away.
Is there any cheats for this game? (If not, no biggie, just curious.)
Edit: Okay I found the item. Will there be more cheats added?
You can use the cheat sheet to gain exp indirectly as well. You just use the money to buy multiple copies of Skill manuals on Saturday in the Brothel on the 2nd floor. Consuming a skill book you already know gives exp instead. So you can get any amount of exp this way as well (except Sex Exp).
I might expand the Cheat Sheet in the future, but at the moment I think it covers pretty much everything except maybe gaining any item you choose, but that sort of thing would be kind of hard to implement.
Ah fair enough. Thanks for the tip :D
I like the potential of the game and what is there so far. It's like a lewd PS1 game :D I hope you are able to eventually finish this game as it'd be a shame not too :)
Thank you! I have great plans for this game so will definitely finish it!
Hey FeyRing, been a while. how are things?
anywho, I decided for the heck of it to acquire all available equipment in the game. hunting NPCs is... hard. anyway, I found a bug and a typo.
as marked in RED...
Victor also had a rare ring you could steal from him if you managed to convince him to stick around at the start of the game.
is there a plan for Snuffles to become a "humanoid" like a bunny monster-girl?
At some point yes! Originally Snuffles was meant to be a Bunny Girl that got cursed to the form of an actual bunny and sold in a pet store.
awesome. good thing I chose Snuffles.
You can also use a "Remove Curse" scroll on the cursed piercing the Werebat gives you to turn it into a special accessory as well.
even the pets have nice accessories, particularly the Snail and Slime pet. though I feel bad taking their equipment away from them, I will return them as soon as I acquire better equipment.
That might take a while, Pets have the best accessories currently in the game because they are unique, there is only one of each in the game!
Also, those are some pretty awesome stats, how long was this play-through, if you don't mind me asking!
These percentages are not affected by Luck stat, though in the future I might redo how the Monster Loot is calculated to include Luck in the calculation.
so i opened white magic skill and i got this. (not the book. the book taught me the skill and i opened the skill thing and got this.)
I couldn't replicate this error, my skill manual opened just fine.
Does this always happen with that manual? Can you try some other manual? Because there is a slim possibility your game might have corrupted somehow, it happens rarely when unpacking the game for some reason.
And I mean your game and not your save file, the save file should be fine.
unfortunately i didn't save the game after i found the priest, donated the gold and read the book. i'll have to re-find him again. i'll let you know once i do though. game works fine and the save is not lost, yes.
i remember that during A13 i used diced fruit/veggies a lot. today i forgot what they are used for. anyone remember what recipes i can use them?
They are used in Fruit Salad, Fruit Loaf, Varenye, Lecho and Shaved Ice.
oh yeah. i used them to make varenye and lecho! thanks.
She should bet there all day on Saturday technically. Does she only appear in the evening for you?
Also, the manuals she sells cost 20 Silver!
I think a long time ago she would only show up in the evening, but I changed that while back.
Lightning Crystals appear if a Lightning strikes the stone road or rarely if it hits outside the road.
Oh, thank you. I believe that is demon queen`s daughter. Haven`t met her yet. I` ve only played five days in this game.
gonna try the new version soon once the download finishes. quarantines here in brazil will go on effect tomorrow probably and we already reached 2k cases. well this will be a good self-quarantine it seems.
may i ask what else is new besides these quality of life stuff put in the game?
edit: im loving the new map, as well as the soundtrack. it looks gorgeous. wish i could freeze time so i could explore it non stop for a long time tho.
Thank you! The new map also has Werebats at night, so watch out!
The Dev Log for this version is quite extensive and has a lot of new things aside from QoL stuff!
https://feyring.itch.io/black-garden/devlog/129864/black-garden-alpha-015
Sad to hear about the rising cases in Brazil, seems to be the common trend everywhere these days, stay safe!
oh yeah i did take a read. the cheats were helpful a bit. helped me recover some of the stuff i lost in my alpha 13 save. i hope they dont give me any consequences in the future for skipping some grind. lol
now all i need is a way to freeze time, lol
I don't really plan to add any consequences for using cheats, aside from a little message inside the cheat sheet itself notifying you that you used them before.
I might make a spell at some point that will allow you to freeze time. it will be a very high level one though!
i think i'll be with the best of the best gear so i'll probably be able to get it i suppose?? just make it easy to get lmao
It will probably be easy to get, will just require a lot of WP to cast!
maybe if they were diminishing stacks, for example; equipping four accessories that give +25% resistance to fire element, diminishes the bonuses to % 25/18/11/4 giving a total of 58% resistance. speaking of balance, is there going to be curative spells? are the water spells the "cure magic"?
and I feel like Im cheating here, but what is the mechanic for the gluttony score? is it
base = 0
gluttony = 100
eating healthy food = -1
eating unhealthy/very/extremely food = +2/+4/+6?
I must have eaten a lot of baked potatoes and grapes in order for me to reach a gluttony score of -100. thanks for the info. now to find a priest.
No problem, just make sure to change them up every meal, so Grape -> Potato -> Grape, wont cause any increases, etc.
hey FeyRing, quck question. what if I spam a "healthy food", say like lotus chips, would it raise my gluttony score?
Im sure you also plan on making a mechanic that would sort the items and loots via alphabetical, quantity, or even in terms of item tiers.
looking forward to the werewolf patch.
I have heard some people were having similar trouble. I'm not actually sure what the problem is, but most likely it's something on itch.io side of things. I will probably have to look into an alternative download location some time soon.
Two questions.. does is the MC always male ?
and are there any cheat codes ?
MC is always male and there are no cheats yet. Though I am considering adding some in the next release.
ahh.. I only like Femdom when it`s between females.. :|
anyway.. best of luck with your work
btw i just noticed theres persuasion in guile AND in charisma skill line. if i max both of them out will they stack??
No, it's the same one, so if you increase one the other increases by the same amount!
i failed 8 times in a row to gather honey from a hornet's nest. is there any way that i can boost my chances of gathering this??
my stealth is maxed out but maybe there is something else to boost my chances??
The chance mostly scales of your Entomology specialisation, although Stealth and Luck also play a part. If you gather during Night Time or while Invisible your chances increase significantly as well.
The exact calculation is Random Number 1-20, +1 per Luck, +1 Per Stealth, +2 per Entomology, +5 if Night Time, +10 if Invisible. If total number is above 20 then you succeed.
thanks! i didnt realized it was entomology the main trait.
Yeah, I noticed that it wasn't explained very well so I'll see if I can make it a bit more descriptive next patch.
hello feyring. been a while since i last been here. i have 2 questions. and one's been in my mind for a while and i just remembered it
is there any way to get sugar aside from the merchant? idk if someone asked it before but if there is where can i craft it/ obtain it?
and saffron mentioned a "fertility potion" during her questline. is it implemented in the game? i'm curious as to what it does if i were to use it.
Good to see you again EviL ZonE!
Hello!
Hi, glad you're enjoying the game!
Hi Thedu!
As for sugar, I might have both cane and beet eventually but for now it will likely be beets!
in fight scene i used all weapons but the other character is not defeated all time I was the one who lose its intentionally or bug please explain.
Alternatively if you have the Black Magic skill you need to have 4+ Intelligence to really deal good damage with spells or level up Sorcery for a damage boost.
how to improve strength , how to make armour and accessories , where to find potions
You can also get two Bombs which do massive damage as a quest reward in the Mines for bringing some pickaxes to the Goblin near the exit.
can you whore your self to win? if can i need some tip.
There is no "win" the game is in alpha. For the most part it is a sandbox game with quests.
